We All Start Somewhere

Over the past month, I learned that you're most powerfully positioned to serve the person you once were. So who was I? I was the skinny kid in high school that didn't care. I didn't care about grades, where I went to college, lifting weights, or any of it. I would go to class, sports practice, home, play video games, and repeat.

One summer, I started doing P90x in my parent's basement because I wanted to look good for the ladies and that's how my fitness journey started. After building my confidence a little bit, I joined a gym and would only use machines because free weights were intimidating. In college, I started doing the typical bro splits of chest/tris, back/bis, and never legs (SMH). I learned a lot by working out with other people but by skipping legs I only cheated myself and created a huge imbalance.

After watching the fittest on earth documentaries on Netflix, I joined a CrossFit gym. I was humbled and realized there is more to being healthy/fit than just a "pump." I attacked my weaknesses with the intent of being a well-rounded athlete. After doing traditional CrossFit workouts for about 3 years, I arrived at my current hybrid athlete approach to training.

I'm now focused on the 10 components of fitness (endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, coordination, speed, agility, balance, and accuracy). By focusing on these components, I'm not only the fastest, strongest, and most mobile version of myself but my quality of movement has improved drastically, I'm never limited by activities outside of the gym, and I feel energized to take on life.

I have learned a lot over the past 10 years and I am still learning as I go. A teacher is a student who wants to continue learning. I want to learn more, not just for myself but for the ones around me. I want to help you be the best version of yourself and help you avoid the mistakes that I made. I want to save you the struggle of getting stuck in a plateau or the difficulties of training all 10 fitness components. I want to give you a plan to remove the guesswork and that is why I came up with the PR Training App.

The PR Training App

The app has 3 daily workout plans, that all members get access to. It allows you to view all the different plans and you get to follow the one that aligns with your goals. Having a plan in the gym is important. Not having a plan is like trying to drive across the country without a map. You might eventually get to where you're trying to go but it will take a lot longer. "Failing to plan is planning to fail."

PR Aesthetics

This is a beginner/intermediate fitness plan for those who might be new to working out. But that doesn't mean you're ever "too good" for these. I do these workouts every now and then to give my body a break from heavy lifting and they never disappoint. The primary goal of this track is to build muscle, lose fat, and improve aesthetics to have you looking your best all year round!

PR Power Endurance

This hybrid training program (strength + running) is designed for those who want to get stronger and faster. There are beginner and advanced options with every workout so this plan is for all skill levels. This is the program I follow myself and the primary goal is to improve your overall performance. It features the best strength, conditioning, speed, power, and hypertrophy training practices.

PR Build

This max strength track is for those interested in improving with max lifts. Different cycles will focus on different movements but the first 10 weeks will have an emphasis on Olympic lifting (clean & jerk, and snatch). This initial phase includes technique drills and accessory work to improve positioning, along with well-thought-out progressions to help you improve your lifts. This is for all lifting levels.

Online memberships start at $19.99 a month and all memberships come with a 7-day free trial! It is a no-risk trial so if you don't wish to be billed, you can cancel before the trial is up.
